The New York Post’s Nick Baumgardner reports that the New York Yankees and New York Mets have agreed to a $15 million settlement with the New Orleans Saints, according to league sources.
The deal is for the 2017-18 season, and the money will go toward “rehabilitation services and equipment and other financial assistance,” the league confirmed to Baumgartner.
The two sides were in negotiations to settle the lawsuit that arose from the head gaskets leaking on Sept. 1, 2017.
The settlement came after the two sides worked out a settlement that would have totaled about $6 million.
The agreement, which was reached in February, also would have put the parties on a one-year deferred payment plan.
